In the beginning of 2023 I was ready to give up on my health journey and accept that my only solution to losing weight was going to be bariatric weight loss surgery. I wasn’t sleeping well, I wasn’t exercising, I wasn’t eating well, I was depressed, and my weight was just another thing on that list. I had failed multiple diets in the past so I really felt like I was never going to get back to a healthy weight unless I went through with the surgery. After really seeing what risks WLS would involve and how restrictive the diet would be after surgery, I was having a lot of apprehension about the whole thing.
In May, I saw one of Kayla’s posts offering her services for virtual personal training/nutrition guidance and decided to reach out. She gave me all the info and got me started right away. I was 322 pounds the day I started working with her. She has supported me through a lot of bumps in the road so far such as vacations and other busy life events that can really throw off your eating habits. Thanks to her I managed to get back on track quick and not feel guilty about the foods I have on occasional date night restaurant trips or family celebrations.
Flash forward 3 months later, I’m down a WHOPPING 30 POUNDS! Not only am I losing weight, but more importantly, I’m learning how to understand what my body needs, discovering new favorite foods, learning to love my body for all it has gone through, and I’m finding a renewed passion for the gym. All thanks to Kayla for her guidance and support. I can’t thank her enough for being such an encouraging and motivating friend and trainer! I’ve still got quite a ways to go but I’m so excited to do it with Kayla right by my side, cheering me on!

I'm rolling up on 4 weeks now with Kayla as my trainer and I have been extremely satisfied with the progress we have made in just those 4 weeks. I came into it feeling stagnant and unable to make any progress. Kayla listened to my fitness goals and has been kicking my butt ever since. I feel way more accomplished after completing the workouts she schedules for me every week rather than me just trying to figure it out at the gym. Having a trainer who isn't gonna just help you reach your goals but instead help you crush them is such a great change of pace. I am very excited to continue this fitness journey with her moving forward.

Shout out to my girl Kayla! Not only did she encourage me to lift weights, but I'm confident to go into the free weight section and lift, even if it's full of other lifters. I used to be so intimidated and scared to go in there, but not anymore! I'm also way more confident to wear what I'm comfortable in and not worried about looking "perfectly fit".
